New Staff + Kickstarter Coming!
Hey again to you all,
Before we give an update, we wanted to say thank you so much to all of you, as you have been supporting us this past month and a half. Whether that is sharing with your friends and family, praying for us, or giving financially — all of it is felt and appreciated. Since we started this whole adventure on June 1st, a lot has happened, and we’re excited to share some of that with you!
UPDATES
First, a word on communication rhythms …
As we go forward, we’ll be looking to share long-form updates here on Substack, so if you want to get the deep details, then sign up for our monthly newsletter (don’t worry if you’re not on Substack; the update will still get delivered straight to your inbox). We’ll be sending you updates on the first of the month starting in August.

Next, a Kickstarter is in the works …
This fall, we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund our first series of animated videos (if you haven’t seen examples of what they will look like, check out our website or our socials listed above).
More details will be forthcoming, but the series will be centered in Genesis, and we could not be more excited to get started on these. As we push out more announcements, we would really appreciate your help in spreading the word — tell your friends, tell your family, tell anyone you can! — you all sharing the news will be the best help in making this a strong success.
Lastly, an exciting addition to the team …
We want to announce a new team member! The first of, Lord willing, many more to come. You may have seen him around Substack already, but please welcome our new COO: Zack Armfield
Zack comes into the team with a deep love for Jesus, Scripture, and family. He and his wife, Paola, live in Greensboro, NC, with their three daughters, Isabella, Lillian, and Olivia, and their brand-new son, Gabriel. Family for him is something that matters greatly and factors into all of his decisions.
He holds a Master’s in Spiritual Formation from Kairos University and has spent the last four years working with nonprofits such as World Relief, Practicing the Way, and 24-7 Prayer USA. As COO, he will be coming alongside Hakeem on the operations front, seeking to help build out structures and systems as our org grows and moves forward.
PRAYER
While team members and funding are exciting and very important, we know nothing is built for Jesus’ Kingdom without considerable amounts of prayer. We would appreciate your prayer this month in a few specific areas.
Clarity and direction as Hakeem and Zack spend time meeting, planning, and praying for the months ahead
Wisdom as the Kickstarter is planned; we of course want it to be successful, but more importantly, for it to be something that creates beauty and witness for the Kingdom
Favor in conversations that will be happening this month with potential patrons and partners (particularly regarding building out curriculum).
